A basic set of powder coating equipment

A specific technique is required to use powder coating. After all, it needs special conditions to form a strong coating. Minimal
requirements: even spraying, static charge, high temperature fusion.

Spray gun

Painting is impossible without a gun. It sprays, charges. Not charged paint simply falls off the surface. Everyone noticed how hair sticks to air balloon. The principle here is the same. A thing, which surface has received a charge “+” (as a result of friction or other interaction) attracts an object with a “-” charge. In the same way, the powder mass will stick to the metal. Ceramics or glass are required heat up to a temperature of 180℃. Sometimes metal parts, that would conduct electricity, are put inside.

Polymerization furnace

Without this equipment, the paint, when it loses static, will begin to fall off. After spraying, you can even wipe it off with a cloth. Resins, bases for any of powder material (polymers) build long molecular bonds. This is how a film is formed. Also, heat is needed up to 160 – 180℃ to melt everything.

It is also possible to melt the coating in a regular oven in the kitchen. But there is no way it will fit oversized products.
