Minimum set for powder coating

Businesses that are thinking about starting to use powder paint often ask the same question: “What is the minimum you need to buy to start using powder paint?”.

We, as representatives of an extensive collection of products, of course say that everything is needed! But we also understand that sometimes companies cannot afford to buy all the equipment right away, for a number of different reasons, ranging from a trivial financial issue to a lack of space.

Therefore, we have compiled a list with the minimum kit that you will need for powder painting.

What exactly do you need?

Gun tribostatic or electrostatic

Necessary equipment in order to complete the process of applying powder paint to the product. Due to the high heat, namely more than 100 degrees, you will see how the powder paint will begin to melt and form a viscous film.

After prolonged heating, the paint penetrates into all possible irregularities on the surface and begins to harden.

Due to this process, a coating with high adhesion rates comes out.

Each pistol has its own characteristics when used. For example, when using an electrostatic gun, first you need to connect the sturgeon and the fresh air line with a special hose.

After that, you need to adjust the air pressure, here you can calibrate as you like, starting from 0.1 to 1.0 atm, and only then you connect it to the outlet.

Next, you need to ground, namely, connect the thin wire to the grounding bracket on the equipment, and the other end to the ground loop.

Important! If you do not want to be electrocuted, you need to work without gloves, this is necessary so that the skin is in contact with the grounding bracket.

Then put the paint into the hopper and you can start the coating process.

If you work with tribostatics, then everything is the same, you just do not need to plug it into an outlet.

Sputtering chamber

This is the equipment that is designed to apply powder paint to the product. Thanks to the camera, the powder does not spread throughout the room and because of this you will not have an overspending. The paint that has not settled on the product is dropped into a special hopper for reapplication.

Inside the chamber there are special joints that have a large rounding radius, and this affects the speed of cleaning the chamber if you need to change the color.

Polymerization oven

Necessary equipment in order to complete the process of applying powder paint to the product. Due to the high heat, namely more than 100 degrees, you will see how the powder paint will begin to melt and form a viscous film.

After prolonged heating, the paint penetrates into all possible irregularities on the surface and begins to harden.

Due to this process, a coating with high adhesion rates comes out.
