Manual spraying systems: which one to choose?

Powder coating has already won thousands of hearts, but there are still questions about how to choose equipment that will help create only a high quality coating.

In general, powder paint has no equal. It has long occupied the first places in all respects:

  • it has an attractive appearance

Thanks to the powder which is sprayed on a product by an electrostatic method, it is possible to create an ideal uniform covering;

  • stability and durability

This item is special in this list, because no paint can match it. Powder paints have the ability to resist ultraviolet rays, temperature and humidity, resulting in no rust and the product does not deteriorate. On the contrary, such a coating can even provide protection against scratches.

  • economy and environmental friendliness

The paint does not contain any substances harmful to living organisms. When applied, no chemical solvents are used, and the system of recovery and reuse of paint residues will be fully liked by all environmentalists. There are two benefits at once: reduced waste and waste, as well as excessive consumption, as a certain amount of paint is used completely.

Paint spraying installations

When spraying paint on the product, it is important to pay attention to the material itself and its shape, as well as the features of the equipment, its capabilities, functions and settings. It is the combination of the material with a certain paint and equipment that can determine whether there will be defects in the coating, or how stable it will be as a result. Since the first step in creating a coating after cleaning the product is to spray paint, then we will talk about paint spraying installations, what they are, what is the difference and which to choose.

Spraying is probably the most expensive and important element in creating a powder coating. It is worth noting that this is not an ordinary spray gun. In this case, the product must not only distribute the paint, but also charge it during spraying. The tank of the painting device is connected to a positive charge, and the product has the opposite negative charge. Due to this, when the powder particles with one charge fall into the same space with the product, they begin to be attracted to the metal, because they are much lighter. Also joining the product, they fill a certain area and cover the charge of the metal, thus regulating the amount of powder required for coating.

That is why the application takes place in a closed chamber so that nothing can prevent the powder particles from reaching the surface.

Manual installations are used in most shops where the coating is created. In certain situations, they are more convenient than automated, because the master can direct the flow of paint to the right places, especially when it comes to hard-to-reach places. Thus, the manual unit must charge the powder and supply it in the required quantity and with the set air pressure.
