Powder paint forms a tough coating that is harder to damage by mechanical or chemical attack. Even after prolonged use, traces of use are very faintly visible on it. And also powder paint makes it possible to use different colors and textures of the coating: antique, moire, shagreen, metallic and others.
Thanks to this, powder paint has replaced liquid paint in many areas. And the scope of its application is constantly expanding.
The only drawback of powder paint is that for its application you need special equipment, which is installed in production.
Therefore, we decided to devote this article to what equipment is needed for powder painting.
Powder is sprayed onto the product with a gun. There are electrostatic and tribostatic models. The difference lies in the way the particles are charged. For the former, an external power source is needed. The latter do this by friction: paint particles rub against a special surface of the gun barrel and are charged. Tribostatic models are better for painting parts of complex shapes, because the lack of electric current in the work allows you to avoid reverse ionization and crater formation. But electrostatic is better if you need to paint a lot and quickly paint parts with a flat surface.

Камеры бывают тупиковыми и проходными. У первых есть лишь один проем через которое деталь, загружается, окрашивается и выгружается. А вторые имеют несколько проемов: для загрузки, окрашивания и выгрузки детали. Они устанавливаются на автоматических линиях покраски.

Depending on the type of oven, it can heat the product up to 180-200 degrees. It is equipped with a special control panel on which you can fully regulate the operation of the device.
Polymerization ovens can also be dead-end and through-pass. And the latter work on an automatic painting line.

Polymer powder painting, the equipment for which we described above, is divided into several important stages.
Before powder painting, the product must be cleaned of all possible contamination, degreased and rinsed.
Then it should be dried.
After that, the product is suspended in the spraying chamber and the powder particles are sprayed with a gun. The dyed article is placed in a polymerization oven where the coating is formed. After painting, it can already be used.
