The following scheme of the powder painting area: painting equipment, warehouse for storing paint (approximately 5m2), warehouse for products to be painted. The room must be heated.
Functional working area demand 75 m square (excluding storage rooms) with a standard set of painting equipment with dimensions of the painted parts 2950 * 1050 * 1550 mm.
In terms of explosiveness, the production belongs to class BII-b with zone BII-a near the painter’s workplace where the explosive concentration of the powder mixture can be occurred only in case of emergency. During normal operation of the site, such concentrations are not formed.

Take care of having such terms on the territory of the powder section: fire extinguishers of the OP-2, OP-5, OPU types at the rate of 2 fire extinguishers and fire resistant blanket per 100 sq. M., sand and asbestos blankets.
Walls, ceilings and floors should be finished with smooth and easy-to-clean materials. Concrete floors are usually painted with enamel or glued tiles to make cleaning easier.
The room temperature should be within 18-30°С, relative humidity – 40-60%.
Exhaust ventilation is a mandatory attribute and must extract air from the polymerization oven with a capacity of 600 cubic meters per hour.
Polymerization oven is powered by electricity of 380V 50Hz 32 kW, to the dyeing chamber – 380V 50 Hz 4 kW.
Compressed air is supplied to the painting chamber to power the painting unit. Operating parameters: pressure – up to 6 atm., consumption – up to 40 l / min. It is desirable to install a separate compressor for these purposes, as this ensures the best quality of compressed air. Here you can see the compressor air dryer.
Spraying chamber. Cyclonic type or with filters which one is better?
If you often change the color of the painting, then a spray chamber with filters is your option (plus immediately purchase several filters to match the best colors). Spaying chambers of cyclonic type are difficult to clean from paint, they are more suitable for mass production in one constant color.
Sprayers: Tribostatic Sprayer or Electrostatic Sprayer
If you have a small paint shop, the best choice is a tribostatic spray gun. It is great for painting arduous areas and corners. Also, it has an affordable price.
The electrostatic sprayer is usually used for painting large volumes and for specific paints such as metallic and antique.
