And the latter occupies a fairly large niche. It so happened that powder paint is a reliable and high-quality product, thanks to which you can create a good coating. It is resistant to corrosion, has a high degree of resistance to atmospheric factors, especially sunlight and humidity, pressure and temperature differences. That is why it is widely used in mechanical engineering, particularly in the manufacture of aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aircraft, helicopters, hang gliders, seaplanes, and any other aircraft are subject to severe damage. First, it is the pressure of the air masses that these vehicles encounter during flight. Of course, in such a situation we are talking about high-strength materials. They have significant advantages over traditional materials with organic compounds. As a rule, they are more workable and hardy, especially at high temperatures; have the increased wear resistance and stability of properties in the presence of greasing or water; less exposed to arctic cold, tropical heat and changes in atmospheric humidity. However, even they need extra protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most studies support this theory. Electrostatically inflicted coating can increase the wear resistance of alloys. This coating does not make structural changes in the surface itself. Excellent adhesion of paint to the material allows you to create protection for many years and serve as a reliable barrier. Often components can be added to the composition of the coating, which further strengthen the protection against external factors. For example, titanium, carbide, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Features of equipment for powder painting of aircraft<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the coating technology remains the same, the industry is different. First of all, its scale. Painting aviation equipment is a very troublesome process, which requires a separate shop, with equipment of huge capacity. In addition, it is necessary to ensure the conditions under which the proper maintenance of temperature, air conditioning and control of the cleanliness of the room are observed. The larger the production, the harder it will be to keep track of everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortunately, most facilities are equipped with the necessary controllers, which not only prevent coating problems, but also speed up the paint application process. Whatever it is the detail of the helicopter, the element of the aircraft, etc., it requires the same processes as other &#8211; smaller in size products &#8211; cleaning, the process of applying paint and polymerization with complete curing of the paint film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To create the perfect painting shop for aircraft elements, you should first allocate a place for painting &#8211; a painting area that will be reliably isolated from temperature changes, unstable weather conditions, cataclysms and any other negative factors. After making sure that all air purifiers are working at full capacity, you can start to include the main equipment. At the first stage there will be baths for immersion in which metal is cleared of dust and dirt. Two-stage cleaning is also possible if there are remnants of chips or old paint. It is performed by shot blasting and requires good ventilation. Then, the product must be transported to the next stage in such a way that no front sight sat on it. To do this, of course, large lifts and a conveyor system is used, while the worker monitors everything from the control panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conveyor line is very important in this process, because the workers are not physically able to cope with the weight that provides for aircraft design. Therefore, constructions on which details are suspended is used. They move elements between stages so as not to damage neither workers, nor the equipment are applied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next step is to apply the paint. It contains a chamber in which the part and the spray gun are placed. In this case, there will be several, or even a dozen. The work must be performed simultaneously so as not to spoil the paint charge. Then it will lie evenly on the entire surface. It is important in this case to clearly control the grounding of the products to avoid a fire in the production, as well as to regulate airflow. The speed of paint supply directly depends on them. The paint is sprayed from a special container under air pressure, so it is necessary that the spray chamber was &#8220;stable windless weather. &#8220;Otherwise, paint particles may not reach the surface even under strong electrification. Often special lifts or even elevators are built for workers, from which they can spray paint. In this case, it is worth taking care of insurance, because at the height they reach aircraft size, unforeseen situations may occur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As for the polymerization chamber, it is also necessary to clearly control the air supply, because in this case it will be a question of uniform heat distribution throughout the chamber. It should heat up gradually and equally everywhere. Otherwise, the coating may not harden in places, which will cause defects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortunately, today there are industries that are able to provide such equipment to the industry. And you do not need to look for them far abroad.
