The powder coating industry is developing at a very fast pace, so there is an opportunity to paint more different materials with powder coating materials. MDF is now also painted with powder paints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MDF is a material that has replaced wood in many products. This is a medium-density fiberboard that is used to make furniture, panels, floor coverings, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technological process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Small holes are drilled in the part to hook it and evenly spray the paint. Holes are located at the joints of the future product. At this stage, painters carefully check whether there are any defects, dirt, or dust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preheating<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before starting to paint, the part must be heated. Therefore, it is first moved along the conveyor to the drying oven, where it is heated with infrared rays. In the process of heating, the electrical conductivity of a part of the product increases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applying paint<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The next step is to move to the spraying chamber, where the part is evenly covered with a layer of powder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polymerization process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After spraying, the MDF product is moved on a conveyor to the polymerization furnace, where at a temperature of 130 – 150\u2103, the paint begins to fuse into a solid polymer film. It is worth following the temperature regime. MDF is a stable material, but it cannot withstand very high heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Result<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Do not rush to remove the product elements from the hooks – they need time to cool down. Then they can be safely sent to the warehouse or assembly line. It takes 30 to 60 minutes to complete painting, depending on the capacity of the automatic line spraying system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
